Meet the inimitable Dawn Bates: prolific author, human rights activist, and a personal and business mentor that gets the most incredible results in a really short space of time.
She's also an inveterate giggler, so she and I get on really well.
Dawn's just released the first in a series of novels about social justice, covering things like date rape, human rights abuse and domestic violence.
All of the stories are based on actual events that have happened to people she knows, so I was keen to talk about all of those things and find out more about the work she does and how she got to connect with those people.
But as they say, the best laid plans of mice and men…
We recorded 8 or 9 hours of conversations and we covered all the topics that I wanted to cover and then some, just not in any particular order.
These are deep and ground breaking conversations about the things that matter in the world, but rather than covering those topics in the usual serious, significant way, we did it the way that Dawn & I know best: by giggling our way through the whole thing.
There are times when we get serious, mind. Occasionally. Not very often.
So come and find out more about this amazing woman and the work she's doing in the world.
